Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Who we are

This site is operated by Negotiation Psychology Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 09980049. We are the data controller for the information described below. If you have any question about this policy, or want to exercise any of the rights set out here, email us at hello@negotiationpsychology.com.

Information you give us

The only personal information we collect directly is what you type into our contact form: your name, your email address, the subject you select, and the message you write. There is no account to create, and nothing else is required of you to use this site.

We use that information for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. We do not sell it, we do not share it for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us to get in touch, and replying to you is the obvious and expected use of what you sent.

Where your message goes

Our site is hosted by Netlify, who process form submissions on our behalf and store them so we can read and reply to them. We keep enquiries for 12 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. If your enquiry becomes a client relationship, the information moves into our normal client records and is covered by the terms we agree with you.

Analytics, and why there is no cookie banner

We would like to know which pages people read and roughly where our visitors come from, so we use Umami to count visits. It is deliberately privacy-preserving:

  • It sets no cookies.
  • It collects no personal data and does not attempt to identify you.
  • It does not track you across other websites, and the data is never combined with data from anywhere else.
  • It records only aggregate information: which page was viewed, the site that referred you, and general details such as country, browser and device type.

Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you, we are not required to ask your permission for it, which is why this site has no cookie banner. This site sets no cookies of any kind.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how we are using it. Email hello@negotiationpsychology.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
